The
Dual MP incorporates two channels of ART’s hugely successful Tube MP into
a single rack space chassis. The "sound" of ART microphone preamps are quickly
becoming a staple of the pro and project studio environments. The Dual MP
is no exception. The Dual MP includes an internal power supply, power switch,
front panel instrument/ line inputs and a unique four stage "sonic character"
LED array to its list of impressive features. The unique design of the Dual
MP provides a hybrid input gain structure c onsisting of match transistor
pairs for excellent CMRR and an extremely clean and quiet front end. A 12AX7A,
run on a separate regulated DC supply, provides a secondary gain stage that
may be "worked" with the input control to deliver just the right amount of
tube color to the input signal.
Other features include: Input and output controls, +20dB gain switch, phase
reversal and +48V phantom power. In addition to being a high quality microphone
preamplifier, the Dual MP is an amazing Tube DI box. The tight, round low
end and smooth high frequency response is ideal for bass, keys, and acoustic
instruments. Front panel 1/4" jacks allow for easy interfacing with instruments.The
