The following are just a
few suggestions for how Incite Media Assistant can be useful to you and
your post-production studio.
Managing "linked"
Media files -
Incite Media Assistant lets you manage linked media files
as one unit. Linked files are video and audio tracks captured together and bound
by the same
timecode file.
Rough Cut Editor
- Use Incite Media Assistant to create basic sequences of your original
media using only the codec. Once created, you can export the sequence as an
IML to an Incite
editing station for additional layers of video, title inclusion, and real-time
effects. As Incite Media
Assistant and Incite access the same media file and the same timecode, no recapturing
is
necessary.
MJPEG and DTV -
Convert DV/MPEG2 formats to MJPEG and MJPEG lossless
(and Vice-versa) using Incite Media Assistant's AVI Converter. In addition you
can mix
these formats on an Incite Media Assistant storyboard, useful for making AVI/QuickTime
movies.
Make Movie
- Incite Media Assistant's Make AVI Movie and Make QT Movie let you
convert into practically any file format, frame size, frame rate, etc. For Incite
user's,
video/audio layers can be exported as IML files to Incite Media Assistant for
making movies.
Archiving
- Incite Media Assistant's 3 batch conversion utilities (AVI, QuickTime &
RealMedia) lets you compact and store all of your video material more effectively.
As Incite
Media Assistant accesses the codec for all of its applications, conversion can
be done on
standard PC over a network, quickly and efficiently. Conversion is performed
in the background.
User-friendly Library
- Archiving means you can store your media on CD-ROM. This
means you can review your archive using any standard PC and Incite Media Assistant's
Catalog
window. As the Timecode Information file (In, Out, tape name, etc.) can also
be archived with
the media file, you can easily recapture the clips you need.
Post-production from
a Laptop - With
Incite Media Assistant on a portable computer
you can plug into any network system wherever you are around the world and get
to work. You
can convert media files and take them on the road, editing storyboards, creating
RTF files,
e-mailing IML files, etc.
Laying
Down the Storyline or Involving your Client - One of the features
of Incite
Media Assistant is that you can generate Rich Text Format files for any given
media file you are
previewing. These RTF files can contain timecode information, general comments
or even pieces
of a speaker's monologue. As the interface is easy to use, clients can browse
and organize their
material.
